Ph.D. Options in Applied Linguistics

In collaboration with the German, Spanish, and French departments, the Department of Applied Linguistics supports three Ph.D. Options in Applied Linguistics. These degrees prepare scholars to conduct systematic examinations of how the respective language is acquired as a native, foreign, or second language, how it is structured, how it is used across varied linguistic communities and by individuals, and how it is taught and learned in a variety of global contexts.
